Scope

The European Systems Biology Community website is promoted by the ISBE (Infrastructure for Systems Biology in Europe) consortium, is supported by the ISBE project (reference nr. 312455), which is funded under the Seventh Research Framework Programme of the European Commission, and is developed and maintained by the Centre for Genomic Regulation (CRG, Barcelona, Spain).

The mission of The European Systems Biology Community website is to bring together the community of European scientists using systems biology approaches in their research. Specific objectives are to:

  • Identify and define the European SB community

  • Facilitate interaction and networking between community members

  • Offer information of interest to the community members

  • Create a communication platform for the community

The data used to seed and periodically update The European Systems Biology Community website (Seed Data) has been obtained from the National Library of Medicine (NLM) using the Pubmed public domain database. Seed Data is not exhaustive, complete nor fully accurate. Community members are encouraged to register and upgrade their profiles with accurate data.

Personal profiles of registered community members will not be automatically updated without prior notification by e-mail.

Registered community members shall supply their profile information in order for ISBE to provide the services and achieve the specific objectives mentioned above.

We are under no obligation to display or otherwise use any Submission you may provide, and we may edit, refuse to post or remove any Submission at any time in our sole discretion. By posting a Submission, you also warrant and represent that you own or otherwise control all of the rights to your Submission including, without limitation, all the necessary rights for its publication through the Site. We shall have the right, but not the obligation, to monitor Submissions to determine compliance with these Terms and Conditions and any operating rules we establish and to satisfy any law, regulation or authorized government request.

Links to pages with illegal or defamatory content, or to any others offering information that is false or prejudicial to ISBE or its partner organizations’ are strictly prohibited.
