I am investigating the genetic factors that determine the growth rate in Mycoplasma pneumoniae and other species in the Mollicutes class. The final goal is to obtain a M. pneumoniae mutant that grows faster to facilitate the development of genome editing tools in the chasis and to speed up the production of the Mycosynvac’s vaccine.
