POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCHER
In my current postdoc position at Luis Serrano's Design of Biological Systems group at CRG,
I focus on systems biology approaches to understand quantitatively the model organism
Mycoplasma pneumoniae. In close collaboration with experimentalists, my work focuses on
the development of a computational model of of translation in M. pneumoniae, integrating a
whole range of omics data (ribosome profiling, proteomics, transcriptomics). The aim of this work is twofold: first, to gain a deeper understanding of the process of translation and its regulation under different conditions. Second, to build a model with predictive power that can serve as a tool in assisting the rational design and development of genetically engineered Mycoplasma cell chassis for synthetic biology applications.
